Socialist Educational: Tamil Self Determination and the National Question

Recently in a referendum held in Australia 99.4%of Australian Tamils gave their support for an independent Tamil Homeland. With most Tamils in the Island fearful and disenchanted by Sri Lanka's political system, the diaspora in Australia have spoken. Under attack by the Sri Lankan government, as well as the Australian government, who have suspend processing asylum requests from Tamils. Come discuss why Tamils want their own homeland and why understanding the national question is so important to understanding many of the political struggles happening in the world.
